Hello everyone!!!
I love you all so much.
This week has been full of a bunch of ups and downs, but today I am
so happy. Especially to hear from everyone. I hope I tagged everyone
in this letter, but let everyone see this. This week I wrote a list so I can
remember all my stuff I need to send :)
So Fast Sunday came around this last Sunday, and they turned the
water off. Cause they like take it really seriously haha. Then they
couldn't get it back on. My first almost death experience haha :) then
they decided that they would make us American food cause we were saying
all we wanted were burgers. Then we got food poisoning and the burgers
were disgusting haha. So they tried to follow that up with tacos, and
those weren't bad. But I really miss Grandma Hernandez's tacos (tell her i
love her! And miss her tacos!!) It has rained every day here, and now we are
getting ready for the "super typhoon" its supposed to be huge. But its
nothing crazy yet, the clouds are moving really fast though. Its
considered the brrrrr months here because its so cold, but when I step
outside I start sweating. Probably not a good sign. So we had this Sister come and stay with us during study and our District had met her
before, so when she walked in we all yelled her name and were really
excited and she started to cry because "Americans" remembered her. She is
from the same mission I am going to. That's the type of people i will serve
:) They are all so small!! They love basketball so much. The Bulls
and the Heat. So I'm going to convert them all to Thunderism as well as
Mormonism haha. I have the coolest barber named Ricki here!! He's like
my Filipino Patrick, I will send a pic of him in a minute. He says he
looks forward to cutting my hair every to weeks. He loves that it is
red haha. He wanted a picture with me today so bad. Oh yeah so the
cops walk around with sawed off shotguns and MP5, AK47 and all that kid
of stuff just hanging around their necks. It's really weird to see!
Kind of crazy. My stomach is kind of getting used to the food haha. It
still doesn't like it though. My companions are weirdos! Haha but you have
to love them. One won't talk and the other is that typical weird dude
from Idaho that like did nothing but play video games. And he doesn't
like to shower.... So were teaching him how. I am roommates with another
companionship and those two are my brothers, like seriously life long
friends. They are way cool. I'll send pics. The language is so hard!! I
wish I could explain it all to you but I will in a few! I had my first
break down last night, but I have this really cool teacher that pulled
me aside and pretty much told me that the language isn't meant to be
learned... so to just be patient! Then I was fine! haha :)
I love you all so much and miss you! Please stay so safe!
Mahal ko po kayo!! (I love you all)
